Top 5 Navigation and Maps Applications Performance in Chile, Q2 2024

During the second quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications in Chile showed diverse trends in downloads and active users. The data comes from Sensor Tower, offering key insights into the performance of these apps.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic had a notable presence with downloads fluctuating between 17K and 22K per week. The app saw a peak of 22.1K downloads at the start of April and ended the quarter with 20.3K downloads. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging around 850K, with slight variations across the weeks.

Google Maps maintained a consistent download range, starting at 15.5K and ending at 15.9K downloads. The highest downloads were recorded in the last week of June. Active users for Google Maps hovered around 1M, with a minor dip in early May but recovering towards the end of the quarter.

Google Earth demonstrated significant growth in downloads, especially in June, where downloads surged to 10.4K. Active users also saw a rise, growing from around 56K in April to nearly 70K by mid-June, before stabilizing at around 56K at the end of the quarter.

Red Regional experienced a decline in downloads over the quarter, starting at 11.3K and dropping to 4.7K by the last week of June. The app did not report data on weekly active users, but the download trend indicates a gradual decrease in user acquisition.

GeoVictoriaApp showed a mixed performance with an initial spike of 10K downloads in mid-April, followed by fluctuations. Downloads ranged from 3.8K to 6.3K towards the end of the quarter. Active users peaked at 75.5K in late April and then varied, ending the quarter with around 65K weekly active users.
